“Dr. Bahmad has brought an extraordinary energy to his fellowship studies, and it was quickly clear to us that he is a luminary trainee,” said Merce Jorda, M.D., Ph.D., professor and Joseph R. Coulter, Jr. Chair in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Miller School. “We are delighted with this recognition. At the conclusion of his fellowship, Dr. Bahmad will join our faculty, where he will have a lasting impact not only on our trainees but also on future advancements in the practice of academic pathology.”
The award not only celebrates individual excellence but also elevates the visibility of pathology’s vital role in health care. Dr. Bahmad joins an elite community of more than 400 professionals who have received this distinction since the program’s inception in 2014.
