UHealth welcomes Stephanie Maryeski, M.D., M.P.H., as new medical director of executive health, a role that blends clinical leadership with strategic innovation to deliver personalized, high-performance care.
Dr. Maryeski’s guiding principle is simple: Patients first.
“I’m open to new ideas and creative thinking,” she said. “As long as patient care, outcomes and experience are prioritized, it’s hard to go wrong.”
Leading Executive Health and Concierge Medicine
Dr. Maryeski will lead the executive health and concierge medicine programs, which offer tailored, comprehensive care for executives and professionals.
“Executive health is about delivering high-quality, efficient and personalized medicine,” she said. “It’s preventive, proactive and designed to meet the unique needs of busy individuals who value their health but have limited time.”
Her responsibilities include clinical oversight, strategic development and operational execution, and she believes the environment she is joining will play a big role in her ultimate success.
I want to build on what’s already excellent and help shape the future of personalized medicine at UHealth.

“I’ve held several leadership roles, but what drew me to UHealth was its culture,” she shared. “From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the pride and energy of every person I met—security, receptionists, physicians. Everyone is genuinely excited to be here and to care for our patients. It’s incredibly motivating.”
She also cites UHealth’s reputation and leadership as key factors.
“Dr. Dipen Parekh, our CEO, still maintains a clinical schedule,” Dr. Maryeski said. “That’s rare and speaks volumes about our commitment to patient care. It’s inspiring.”
Expanding Health Care Reach
Looking ahead, Dr. Maryeski is excited to expand the reach of executive health, especially through the newly opened SoLé Mia facility in North Miami.
“It’s a chance to connect with new communities and bring our model of care to more people,” she said. “I want to build on what’s already excellent and help shape the future of personalized medicine at UHealth.”
Dr. Maryeski’s career is a testament to service, excellence and adaptability. She earned her Master of Public Health degree from Yale University in 2001 before attending The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, graduating in 2006. Her internal medicine residency was completed as a U.S. Army officer at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, followed by a deployment to Iraq in 2010 with the 21st Combat Support Hospital.
“I rotated between the E.R., inpatient unit and outpatient clinic,” she said. “I cared for American and Iraqi soldiers and civilian contractors, and managed everything from routine illness to complex combat injuries. It was intense, humbling and deeply formative.”
After returning stateside, Dr. Maryeski served as chief of internal medicine at Keller Army Community Hospital and officer-in-chief of the Warrior Transition Unit at West Point, overseeing care for hundreds of soldiers recovering from combat-related conditions.
“That experience taught me the importance of continuity, compassion and leadership in medicine,” she said.
In 2013, she transitioned to private practice in Newport, Rhode Island, eventually becoming Medical Director of a group affiliated with Brown University.
“I oversaw multiple primary care sites and learned how to balance clinical excellence with operational demands,” she explained.
Dr. Maryeski’s leadership, experience and passion for patient-centered care will be instrumental in advancing our mission and impact and succeeding in her new role.
