Sylvester’s upcoming schedule features a range of events to increase breast cancer awareness.

According to the Susan G. Komen organization, in the U.S., more than 4 million people are breast cancer survivors or are living with the disease—more than any other group of cancer survivors.

While breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide, early detection can improve patient outcomes and awareness is critical to help increase screening initiatives. Faculty and staff from Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of UHealth—the University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine, will participate in the following breast cancer awareness events over the next two months.

From walks to talks, luncheons to webinars, football to fashion shows, these events bring needed attention to the cause and help find cancer cures.

The following lists the events where Sylvester will be represented. All staff, physicians and researchers are encouraged to sign up and attend the scheduled walks.
