Dr. Amanda Rivera Joins the Department of Radiation Oncology
Amanda Rivera, M.D., has joined the Department of Radiation Oncology at UHealth – University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine. In the role, Dr. Rivera will serve as an assistant professor with clinical specialties in gynecologic oncology, breast cancer and brachytherapy. Her research will focus on treatment optimization for gynecologic cancers, the patient experience and workforce diversity. In addition, Dr. Rivera aims to study the interplay of resource availability and how to combat the perpetuation of disparities along the cancer continuum in underserved communities.
