Dr. Nikolaos Spilias Joins the Department of Medicine

Nikolaos Spilias, M.D., has joined the Cardiovascular Division in the Department of Medicine at UHealth – University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine. In this role, Dr. Spilias will serve as an assistant professor of clinical medicine with research interests focused on structural and valvular heart disease.

Research Interests: Dr. Spilias’ research interests focus on structural and valvular heart disease, with emphasis on cardiac imaging analysis, computational simulations for the optimization and personalization of structural heart procedures, and the application of novel devices and transcatheter techniques for the treatment of aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve disease.
