Dr. Tali Czarnowicki Joins the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery
Tali Czarnowicki, M.D., M.Sc., IFAAD, has joined the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at UHealth – University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine. In this role, Dr. Czarnowicki will serve as an associate professor with research interests in inflammatory skin diseases.

Research Interests:
My primary research interests lie in the realm of inflammatory skin diseases, specifically atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia areata, vitiligo and ichthyosis. I have focused on examining the activation and differentiation of T- and B-cells in these conditions through the utilization of comprehensive multi-parameter flow cytometry. I am significantly involved in translational research; the objective of my research is to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying immune mechanisms involved and to identify potential targets for therapeutic interventions. I have published extensively on these topics and am currently expanding my research to include biomarker analysis. Additionally, I have conducted groundbreaking research on the tachyphylaxis of topical corticosteroids in psoriasis treatment, studied the effects of petroleum jelly on skin immunology and investigated the effectiveness of climatotherapy at the Dead Sea for various skin diseases.
