Our New Look: Award-Winning Magazine Undergoes a Digital Transformation
University of Miami Medicine magazine is brighter, bolder and easier to navigate after undergoing a digital refresh.

With the Fall 2025 issue, readers of University of Miami Medicine magazine are invited to explore an exciting, new digital experience. The redesigned magazine website represents the next generation of our online presence. Here are four key updates you can expect:
• A bolder look: Our award-winning layouts fill the page with color and adapt to your device. Laptop, tablet or cell phone — horizontal or vertical — there is no compromise in quality.
• Easier navigation: Our new design makes it easy to move around and always know where you are. Stories that are linked are easy to find.
• More motion: We have added video to support many of our stories. Read or watch — it’s your choice.
• Listening pleasure: Want to explore our stories while you drive? Now you can listen instead of reading. Hear our world-class scientists and clinicians talk about their cutting-edge research and treatments. This issue even includes verse by a researcher who also writes poetry.

Wrapped in our new look are inspiring stories about transformational medical education, research, clinical care and community outreach initiatives at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicinie. Here are three:
• “The Quiet Evolution:” This issue’s cover story documents the vital contributions of basic science research, profiling investigators on the brink of game-changing discoveries and an alumni donor who is providing financial support.
• “A New Era of Excellence:” How the nearly $1.5 billion raised for UM’s academic medical center during the Ever Brighter capital campaign will have a remarkable impact on medicine and health care.
• “Centennial Spotlight:” In a tribute to UM’s first century, we showcase influential alumni who have left their mark on the Miller School and on medicine.
Enjoy these stories and many more in the new digital edition. And give us your reactions and suggestions for future issues.
