UHealth Expands Dermatology to South Miami

UHealth – the University of Miami Health System has opened a new Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery clinic in South Miami.  It is located within walking distance of the Metrorail South Miami station, one block east of U.S. 1 at 7000 SW 62nd Avenue, Penthouse A.

“We are thrilled to bring UHealth Dermatology closer to our patients,” said Robert S Kirsner, M.D., Ph.D., Chairman and Harvey Blank Professor, Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery.

Since opening November 6, the multi-physician clinic has been providing dermatology services, skin cancer treatments and aesthetic procedures to patients, who also have access to clinical trials as part of UHealth’s extensive medical research. The clinic will expand its services early next year to include Mohs surgery.  The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  For appointments, call 305-689-8900.

“By practicing at sites away from the medical setting, making access easier, we hope to improve the patient experience, while still allowing patients to benefit from the great care provided by our dermatologists from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine,” Kirsner added.
