2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Ranks Holtz Children’s Hospital Among the Best in Florida
Hospitals and programs are ranked based on clinical outcomes, patient safety, technology, specialized services and more.

Holtz Children’s Hospital, in partnership with UHealth – University of Miami Health System, has been named among the best children’s hospitals in Florida by U.S. News & World Report. In the 2025-2026 rankings, Holtz Children’s was ranked seventh in Florida and 16th in the Southeast, with three specialties ranked among the top 50 programs nationwide.
• Diabetes and Endocrinology is ranked 21st
• Gastroenterology and GI Surgery is ranked 41st

The U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals rankings are designed to help families find the best medical care for their children. Hospitals and programs are ranked based on clinical outcomes, patient safety, technology, specialized services and more. Holtz Children’s provides nearly every medical specialty to children of all ages (from before birth to age 21). These rankings recognize Holtz Children’s among an elite group of children’s hospital programs in the nation.

Parekh, M.D., chief executive officer of UHealth and executive vice president for health affairs at the University of Miami., said the rankings in multiple specialties “reflects the breadth of care provided at Holtz Children’s by our UHealth specialists. It’s gratifying to see their unrivaled dedication and superior care be recognized.”
Henri R. Ford, M.D., M.H.A., dean and chief academic officer of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, agrees.

Building on that point, Pankaj Agrawal, M.D., chief of the Division of Neonatology at the Miller School’s Department of Pediatrics and physician-in-chief at Holtz Children’s, highlighted the daily commitment and expertise of the pediatric team at Holtz Children’s and UHealth.

Echoing those sentiments, Glenn Flores, M.D., chair of the Department of Pediatrics, senior associate dean of child health and the George E. Batchelor Endowed Chair in Child Health at the Miller School, highlighted the collaborative effort required to reach this milestone.
