Dr. Nina Massad Joins the Department of Neurology
Nina Massad, M.D., joins the Department of Neurology at the University of Miami Health System and the Miller School of Medicine as an assistant professor of clinical neurology and neurocritical care. Dr. Massad received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency training in neurology at Columbia University. She went on to complete her fellowship training in neurocritical care at New York-Presbyterian Hospitals of Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medicine.
Dr. Massad provides care for patients with neurological emergencies and critical illness in the neurocritical care units at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospitals. She has a special interest in graduate medical education, with a focus on simulation-based learning and fellowship curriculum development. Dr. Massad’s research interests include refractory status epilepticus and non-invasive neuromonitoring in acute brain injury.
