Dr. Steven Cohn Delivers Three Lectures at Conference in Buenos Aires
Steven L. Cohn, M.D., professor emeritus in the Department of Medicine, recently delivered three lectures on perioperative medicine, venous thromboembolism, and anticoagulation at the 17º Congreso Internacional de Medicina Interna del Hospital de Clínicas in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Perioperative medicine was one of the themes of the meeting, which attracted more than 4,500 attendees, primarily from South America.
Although recently retired, Dr. Cohn, formerly the medical director of the UHealth Preoperative Assessment Center and medical consultation services, continues to remain actively engaged in perioperative medical education.
He will be speaking at the Perioperative Summit and the national meetings of the American College of Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine, and International Anesthesia Research Society next year.
