Students and Staff Spin for DCC XIII

Kicking off the recent DCC weekend, Team Hurricanes hosted an outdoor spin cycle event for University of Miami students, faculty, and staff to support the 13th annual Dolphins Challenge Cancer (DCC XIII).

The event, dubbed Cycle Sesh, took place Feb. 23 at Lakeside Patio on the Coral Gables campus. More than 200 students, faculty, and staff attended the event, and 132 participated in spinning. Cycle Sesh raised $2,819 to support innovative cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of UHealth – University of Miami Health System.

“Cycle Sesh is an incredible opportunity for our students to support Dolphins Challenge Cancer,” said Pat Whitley, the University’s senior vice president for student affairs. “I can’t think of a better way to kick off the DCC weekend. I had a great time spinning with the students and faculty.”
