UM at Holy Cross Residency Director is Editor of Internal Medicine ‘Toolkit Series’
Frederick K. Williams, M.D., associate professor of clinical medicine and program director of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s internal medicine residency program at Holy Cross Hospital, is the editor-in-chief of “The Toolkit Series: A Textbook for Internal Medicine Education Programs,” published by the Academic Alliance for Internal Medicine.
This edition, the 12th in the series, includes almost 50 chapters by expert faculty and staff in departments of internal medicine.
“This is a key resource for tackling common problems encountered in the administration of internal medicine education programs by residency, fellowship, and clerkship directors; division chiefs; department chairs and chiefs; and the administrators of residency and fellowship programs,” said Joan St. Onge, M.D., Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education.
Williams is the designated institutional official for the Miller School’s residency program at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. He is responsible for oversight of the development of new residency programs on the Regional Medical Campus and for the continued accreditation of the program at Holy Cross.
He also serves as the assistant director of the Office of Graduate Medical Education for the Miller School and is leading the faculty development efforts in GME on the regional campus.
