University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine trainees triumphed in “Resident Jeopardy” for the second consecutive year at the 51st annual conference of the Florida Society of Pathologists (FSP).

The convivial competition is one of the conference’s most popular events, and the Miller School’s triumph confers pathology trainee bragging rights for another year.

Five Miller School residents were invited to the FSP conference as presenters, with Felipe Camacho, M.D., awarded first place in the “Rare and Interesting Case Competition.” Lin Li, M.D., Ph.D., Ateeqa Mujeeb Ullah, M.D., and Atilla Molnar, M.D., swept the top three spots in the FSP conference poster awards.

“This was a culmination of a lot of challenging work by all involved,” said Carmen Gomez-Fernandez, M.D., clinical professor of pathology and laboratory medicine and the department’s vice chair of education and trainee mentoring and director of undergraduate pathology medical education. “Kudos to our trainees and their mentors.”
